Art in the Park: Black History Celebration hosted by HERO Tent

H.E.R.O. Tent, SJ Makers, and BLKC (Black Leadership Kitchen Cabinet) have partnered up to host a two-day Black History celebration on February 26th and 27th in Backesto Park, San Jose to honor the experiences of black folk in the surrounding community.


Day one will consist of the start to the community mural project and a barbecue with a variety of local community vendors. This event will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.


Day two will hold the main festival, a collection of brilliant black artists and performers that will showcase their work and talent to the community. The community mural will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the small business vendors and live performances will go from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and the movie screening from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
